I read about oil pulling with coconut oil in a well-written, helpful email sent by Dave from PaleoHacks. We can apply this to oil pulling and diabetes. It seems like everywhere I turn, I’m reading another article about the benefits. And honestly, it’s reinforcing how simple is it to swish coconut oil around in your mouth for a few minutes.
Here’s a thought: how much talking are you doing in the shower every morning? Keep a jar (or a pouch – I like Artisana’s pouches because they take up so little room) and swish before you step in – before you know it, you’ve been oil pulling for 5 minutes! Effort level is a “1” here, friends. Oil pulling and diabetes may be a good match. Give it a try – and let us know what you think about oil pulling with coconut oil!
The possibilities of oil pulling and diabetes
Pulling bad bacteria from your oral tissue may be helpful to your health. It seems easy when I try oil pulling, and it seems easy for my friends, too. My friend sometimes takes care of this healthy habit while reading the paper or reading news online. Just 15 minutes of swishing does the trick.
He said that when he feels the urge to swallow, he just leans his head forward and gets the swishy solution away from his throat… into the front of his mouth. Then, he can have an empty swallow and go back to swishing until the 12 – 15 minutes are up. Not bad!
If you have any positive or negative experiences with oil pulling, please share them with the community. We would love to hear from you. Honest feedback helps everyone! (and… remember… we don’t make money selling coconut oil or from any oil pulling activity)
